Watco Charts – Privacy Policy
This policy describes what the Watco Charts mobile application ("the App"), published by Watco Tanks, Inc. ("Watco", "we"), does with information when you use it. The App is a calculator that produces tank gauge charts and fill-level capacity figures for Watco tanks.
Information the App collects
The App does not collect, store, or share personal information. It has no user accounts, no sign-in, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking software.
The only information the App handles is the tank data you type in: tank type, nominal diameter, nominal gallons, chart increment, and measured depth. These values are not personal information. They are not saved on your device beyond the current session and are not linked to you.
Information sent to Watco
To calculate results and generate a PDF chart, the App sends the tank values you entered to a Watco web service over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Like any web request, this transmits your device's IP address to our hosting provider, which may keep it in routine server logs for a limited time. We do not use these logs to identify or profile users.
Third parties
The App does not include third-party software development kits and does not share data with third parties. Generated PDF charts open in the browser or PDF viewer you choose; that application's own privacy policy applies once you leave the App.
Permissions
The App requests only the Internet permission, which is needed to reach the Watco web service. It does not access your contacts, location, camera, photos, files, or other device data.
Children
The App is a professional tool intended for adults. It is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Data retention and deletion
Because the App does not collect personal data, there is nothing for you to request deletion of. Server logs that may include an IP address are kept only as long as our hosting provider's routine retention period.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the App handles information, we will update this page and the effective date above.
